Aim and Objectives

Aim: To establish a community food forest in Ashburton that sustainably produces local food.

Objectives:

1.   Increase food security for local people

2.   Demonstrate sustainable and ecological urban food production – to provide a living example of urban permaculture in action.

3. Increase local community cohesion and social inclusion

4. Address global warming through carbon sequestration (taking carbon into the plants, roots and soil) and reducing carbon pollution
